Only a few weeks to go, and the NLS will go into the 2026 season. On March 14th the first NLS race will be run, and on March 21st the second already - one in which Max Verstappen and his team will debute with their new partner Mercedes.
But before all, we're looking forward to the likes of Laurens Vanthoor and Kevin Estre competing for a well deserved revenche...
Due to Max' appearance we're not yet sure to get the broadcasting rights to this year's NLS manches, but we're hopeful and expect to secure the right to serve you 10 great live reports from the Ring.

Shaun Tilley revives the Luxembourg years
As a household name at both the BBC and Radio Luxembourg, it may come as a surprise we had to wait for so long before Shaun recreated his formidable Luxy series as a BBC documentary podcast. Join him here for an extensive drive on memory lane...
'The Radio Luxembourg Years' began as a feature within my shows on the BBC. It's now been developed into a mini-series of podcasts with 5 programmes to follow on a forthcoming platform. Meantime, the Beeb has given permission for extended versions of these shows (including music) to be available right now starting with Part 1, a celebration of 208 during the 60's and 70's!
The second 'Radio Luxembourg Years' podcast from the BBC celebrates 208 during the 1970's and 80's. There's classic clips of Barry Alldis, Paul Burnett, Bob Stewart, Stuart Henry, Kenny Everett, Mark Wesley, Tony Prince and Noel Edmonds plus archive conversations I had with my pals Peter Powell and Kid Jensen!!
The third 'Radio Luxembourg Years' podcast from the BBC! In this edition, I'm remembering some of the legendary voices who were heard on Luxy during the 80's and early 90's. There's classic archive clips of Timmy Mallett, Bob Stewart, Mike Hollis, Paul McKenna, Gary King, Chris Moyles, Rosko, Dave Eastwood, Mark Wesley, Tony Blewitt, Dave Christian, Stuart and Ollie Henry plus many more!!
Part 4 of The Radio Luxembourg Years features some of the legendary songs that were 208 Powerplays through the decades including hits from Annie Lennox and Al Green, The Supremes, The Sweet, Kylie Minogue, Roy Orbison, Thunderclap Newman, Daryl Hall and John Oates, Dan Hartman, George Benson, Lisa Stansfield plus many more!! You can also hear classic clips of the Luxy DJ's playing these singles for the first time on air as new releases!!
And then the final part of The Radio Luxembourg Years, the BBC's celebration of The Station of the Stars! This edition features some of the legendary voices who had the honour of counting down the weekly 208 chart including David Gell, Bob Stewart, Teddy Johnson, Paul Burnett, Tony Prince, Barry Alldis, Don Wardell, Dave Christian and more!!
Surreal !
Our live feed of the NLS 7 endurance race topped 1.4 million views, which is absolutely crazy.
Normally our live reports from the Ring get a few 100K at most, on the combined network of RadioShow, AQLN and Auto Addiction.
But you guys were incredible, bringing our spectator numbers to a level we could never dream of.
A big thanks to Max, to Nick, to the NuerburgRing.tv team and especially to you for making this happen.
Edit: our NLS 8 netcast gathered more than 2.5 million international spectators, the German programme went to around 2 million views. Totalling a little less than 5 million views is something we never dared to dream, really incredible.
We hoped for an even better result in 2026, but sadly Max has so many important F1 contests to perform in this year, he won't make it to the qualifiers and the 24hrs race.
Nevertheless after summer we may look forward to our very special guest on the track. And ofcourse, you won't be disappointed to see our other great drivers compete in the upcoming Nuerburgring Langstrecken Series.
And for Max: we wensen je een heel succesvol F1-voorjaar, en we kijken er naar uit om je na de zomer in de Eifel terug te zien !
Enjoy the classics!

Non-Stop Stirring Music
The Luxembourg Music Jam is back on your radio and on any other connected listening device.
The Great 208 aired it already in the late 80s, and today AQLN continues this great tradition. For a while the show was hosted by Jodie Scott, Philip Banks and Frank Gerard, but now we serve it again as it was meant to: as a non stop play list.
Aquilaine's Master Music Blenders signed up for producing a number of renditions, published as podcasts via several platforms, awaiting the continuation of the Jam as a radio stream.
The Luxembourg Music Jam can be heard as a high quality podcast on Mixcloud, as an MP3-download on Hearthis and ofcourse through all Aquilaine outlets and socials.
From Wemperhardt in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Aquilaine produces stirring boss radio. Captivating pop music and swinging radio jocking are the main ingredients of the unique radio shows that you can enjoy all over Europe and in the UK, here from AQLN International.
The foundation for Aquilaine was laid back in 1987 when Steve Walsh launched an English radio station with a continental feel from the French town of Roubaix. Because this wasn't politically feasible yet, and following the station's purchase by an international media group, the station became based in Luxembourg. The somewhat mysterious name Aquilaine Inter was chosen because it referred to the Eifel region where the station was from then on based. AQLN became the call sign, similar to the kind often used by American, Mexican, and Canadian radio stations, a reference to the station's bold style, which is undeniably reminiscent of border blasters.
Today, international broadcasting is no longer technically a problem, but Aquilaine Inter is one of the few who effectively express and convey that peculiar character through content. AQLN International features real boss jocks and a surprising and thrilling mix of great music based on synth pop, new wave, and quality pop titles.
